Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation and Hide It Concealer review
Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation and Hide It Concealer
This review focuses on the Invisible Radiance Foundation in Porcelain (£28) and the Hide It Concealer in 02 (£10.75).
Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation |
The foundation is described as ‘light as a feather’ on Daniel Sandler’s site, without parabens or perfumes. It’s not quite oil-free because, without parabens, it is preserved with honeysuckle oil. The product also contains antioxidant vitamins E, A and C to protect the skin and encourage repair.
Full-size, it comes with a matching concealer and mirror built into the lid, allowing you to adjust the coverage to your needs and taking the guesswork out of finding a decent concealer to go with your make-up. You can either perfect your base by using concealer over the top of the foundation, or mix the two together before applying for an all-over higher coverage.
I obviously only had the foundation without the concealer, which gave a very sheer coverage but did help towards neutralising redness. The finish is quite dewy, as it claims to be, and gave my skin a fresh glow. Personally, I prefer a slightly more matte finish as I’m really bad for touching my face throughout the day and find that dewy finishes come away much more easily, but if it’s dewiness that you’re looking for then this is a great product.
Throughout the day, I found that this stayed put fairly well, though there was a little separation towards the evening. The freshness faded somewhat as well, but altogether I didn’t look like a wreck by the time I got home!
Daniel Sandler Hide It Concealer |
I finished with a little of the Hide It concealer under my eyes, which doesn’t really match up to other under-eye concealers, to be honest. The coverage isn’t great and there are better alternatives on the high street, such as L’Oreal’s Touche Magique (£7.19 at Boots).
The end result |
Overall, I think this foundation really delivers what it promises to and is great if you have good skin that isn’t too oily. For me, as someone with breakouts and living in wind-swept Wales, I’m looking for something a little more durable, but it’s clear that this product will appeal to many. I’m looking forward to trying more of the Daniel Sandler range and will hopefully find the right product for me.
