January Sale-ing

January Sale-ingfashion haul

Yesterday I went sale-ing, as my lovely grandad used to call it! Calling all students – Topshop is giving you 20% off until Sunday, so make the most of it!! A few things may have also arrived in the post, as well…ahem. While I may not have overcome my addiction, you’ll be pleased to know that my purse is now safe and in recovery. As I have no intention of reforming, let’s take a pre-giveaway look at what I bought! (That’s right – it’s GIVEAWAY time tonight!)home haul

Firstly, the flamey thing in the background is my delicious Yankee Wax Tart Burner, which only cost £4.99! My lovely housemates and I all ordered something off the site to split the cost of P&P – great way to save on delivery. I bought a Christmas Cookie wax tart to melt in the top, and now my whole room smells of buttery vanilla-y deliciousness! These burners are amazing if you have a big room and a scented candle just doesn’t cut it.lancome

Beauty Samples
I hit Boots first, as they have some offers at the moment. Clinique is currently doing a mascara swap – take in any old mascara (or buy the cheapest you can find!) and they’ll swap it for a miniature of either their High Impact or High Lengths mascara for free, worth around £7.50! I already have the High Impact (which you can seehere), so went for their award-winning High Lengths this time; I’ll let you know how I get on.
Lancôme is also giving away 7-day trial sizes of their innovative anti-ageing range – you can never start too young! Just go to theirFacebook app to print off a voucher and exchange it in store.topshop liner

Topshop Liquid Liner
I found this liner in ‘Tarnished’ in the Topshop sale for just £2 – a gorgeous shimmery khaki colour. It claims to be long-lasting, which I can vouch for as that liquid line is still on my hand after doing 2 days’ worth of washing up!Mac 187 Brush

Yes, I did it, I bought the £32.50 Mac Duo Fibre Brush… for £8 from a trusted Ebay source (family friend)! Too good a deal to miss, I can’t wait to try the stippling technique and tell you all what I think! We’ll see whether that pixelated flawless finish is reallyachievable. The Nails

The Nails
My Seche Vite Top Coat finally arrived, so thought I’d treat myself to some products to use it with! I bought Sally Hansen’s Healthy Cuticles Now! cream to keep my nails healthy, followed by Topshop’s mini Cyclone nail polish for £3 in the sale (a lovely shimmery blue-grey) and their Crackle Topcoat in Frosty (a champagne shimmer). I managed to achieve a high-shine, textured finish overall:The Nails crackle

The FashionIMG_3304
I popped to Primark and got these bow detail tights for just £3, which I think will look great with my skater dresses.
From Topshop, I bought this amazing body chain for £16.50, which will completely transform an LBD. It’ll also be perfect for a bit of ethnic fashion this summer, which is bound to return for festival season!
I then got my hands on this beautiful red, semi-sheer midi skirt with a hidden slit down the centre from the waistband. It’s a Topshop Premium sale piece, down to £35 from £65 in the sale (and £28 with my discount!) – can’t wait to wear over summer.
The black and green shimmer is a pair of Topshop skinny ankle cigarette trousers, which I’ll be teaming with heeled brogues and a silk shirt for my magazine internship this autumn.
