Topshop's Eye Palette review - Atmosphere
Topshop colour cosmetics are probably my favourites when I’m looking for something attention-grabbing or trying out a new trend. Their sophisticated shades and textures and the ease of application always amaze me, especially considering how affordable the products are.
For Christmas one of my stocking fillers was the eye palette in Atmosphere. As a green-eyed girl, this is my ideal palette for the evening. The shades are all muted with tones of grey, while the texture is somewhere between a deep shimmer and a glitter effect. This makes enough of a statement without looking tacky.
The subtle shades (pictured below) are a deep gold which is lovely over the lid of the eye, a smoky violet shade for lining and defining the eyes, and a stunning grey-green that is essentially a muted shade of most green eye colours. Beauty rules dictate not to coordinate green or blue eyes with a matching shadow. However, if you find the right balance: a pretty shade that at the same time is a toned-down version of your peepers, it can really make the eyes stand out.

I sometimes pick out one colour just to add a little sweep of glimmer underneath my eye liner, but my favourite effect is when all 3 are used together. It produces an almost petrol effect, smoky yet deep in colour. That was what I went for with this face of the day: gold over the entire lid, green in the centre and the purple used along the lash line for definition.
