How to Cook Basmati Rice

 How to Cook Basmati Rice
1 Cup Basmati Rice
1 1/3 cups water (if you don’t like your rice to be firm, use 1 1/2 cups water)
Pinch of salt

NEVER soak Basmati rice in water. Place the rice in a colander and rinse gently. Basmati rice should be handled very gently so it does not break. This type of rice is very delicate.

Bring the water in a saucepan to a boil and add the salt, then add the rinsed rice. Lower the heat to low and cook for about 12 to 15 minutes. Check around 12 minutes to see if the rice is done.
